How much is too much? That was a question I pondered as I created these highly detailed paintings. I want the viewer to feel overwhelmed by the energy of the canvas; to feel over-saturated by color and shape. I had so much fun making the small dots and keeping a count of how many I placed and the feeling it gave me. There is also sand mixed into the backgrounds to provide some texture which helps bring the viewer into the work as well.
