These paintings are centered around celebrating the one perfect shape - the oval. I wanted to create a sense of joy in the shape, the colors and rhythm of the work. To achieve this, I started with a simple grid and intuitively worked out a pattern expanding and compressing while keeping the ovals floating on the surface.
